Irby Mill with Mersey Morris

Having tried to arrange a suitable date to meet up with our good friends Mersey Morris we finally managed The Irby Mill at Greasby tonight. The forecast was for torrential rain,and it did not look appealing at all but, as is often the case, these evenings with low expectations often turn out to be some of the more memorable. Highlight of the evening being the emergence of their new Mersey bird who proceeded to sit in the overgrown grasses of the roundabout apparently laying eggs, much to the bewilderment of some of the motorists!
