Northgate Folk Festival, Chester

The penultimate dance out of the season and probably one of the best. Rain welcomed us to the venue, Alexander's Live in Rufus Court Chester, for the inaugural Northgate Folk Festival, but soon stopped before the dancing started and the stoic crowd who had sat in pouring rain whopped and cheered every dance! We have a couple of taster sessions coming up so hopefully one or two will join us then. Next, and final, spot of the year - Eccleston Beer Festival.

Kinnerton Morris Chester Northgate Folk Festival

An excellent turn out of 12 men, 10 dancers and two musicians, with Bill also playing for a number of the dances. Peter (Melodeon), Bob (fiddle), Bill (dancing and melodeon), Roger, Terry, Trevor, David, Colin, Clive, Kelvin, Mike and Ian. A healthy side gave an excellent show, hopefully encourage some enthusiasm for the taster sessions to come.
