St George's Day 2024

An excellent start to the dancing season saw us join Chester City Morris Men for a dance at the the Cross in Chester (after suitable refreshments from The Victoria) then decamp down to The Albion for more dancing in front of an audience which included a family from Sweden, with one chap wearing a Scottish kilt - not sure what that was about). Followed by a rousing song session in celebration of our patron saint St George, whose day this was to celebrate. This date is also purportedly the date of Shakespeare's birth and of his death. So much to celebrate and to rouse the positive feeling of pride in Britain!
